Czytając Znanieckiego i Carnapa. Studenckie lata Stefana Żółkiewskiego

The article is an attempt to describe the first years of Stefan Żółkiewski’s scientific activity. author begins by analysing student duties a future researcher, looking for his masters. He also considers theses contained in thesis and concludes with description activity students’ circle known as “Warszawskie Koło Polonistów”. tries point out genesis qualities, which characterize later attitude: leftist worldview, organizational skills, sociological thinking about literature concern general condition humanities.
